Tiger Optics Qualifies Fuel Cell Hydrogen

Testing fuel cell hydrogen is vital. As Toyota and other automakers bring new electric autos to market, Tiger's analyzers provide the sensitivity, selectivity and accuracy needed to measure contaminants that can damage or destroy a vehicle's fuel cell. In fact, Tiger Optics ranks as the top performer in a 2015 report funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Fuel Cell Technologies Office, entitled H2First Hydrogen Contaminant Detector Task. Of the technologies evaluated from ten different analyzer makers, Tiger's Continuous Wave Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CW-CRDS) provides the fastest response time, with the lowest maintenance. The report concluded that CW-CRDS is one of the two "most complete commercial-off-the-shelf technologies that could be used in a HCD [Hydrogen Contaminant Detector] application."
Moreover, CW-CRDS is recognized as an international standard for testing contaminants in fuel-cell-grade hydrogen. In its standard test method, published in June of 2014, (D7941/D7941-14), ASTM International describes the procedures to use CW-CRDS analyzers to measure trace amounts of H2O, O2, CH4, CO2, CO, NH3 and CH2O.
New HALO OK: Ultra-trace Oxygen analyzer

At last, no more compromises when it comes to ultra-trace oxygen monitoring for continuous quality control (CQC), mobile analytical carts and fixed installations. Super-compact and affordable, the new HALO OK fits neatly into a portable cart or instrument rack for safe, easy, accurate and maintenance-free operation. Verify oxygen impurity levels with part-per-trillion accuracy, drift-free stability and instantaneous response. With its patented catalytic conversion technique, utilizing a tiny amount of hydrogen to cleanly and safely convert oxygen to moisture, the OK offers a fully laser-based solution for your process.
Lookin' Good!

All of the HALO-based products, from the Spark to the CO-rekt and the Tiger-i, have a fresh new graphical user interface (GUI) that offers the expanded trending capabilities, along with all of the diagnostics that you have come to appreciate. Starting with the trending, you can see a one-hour trend right on the front of your screen. The bottom of the y axis is also user-selectable, so that if, for example, you are looking at 800 ppbv, you can zoom into the range from 750-850 ppbv for more granular detail. Moreover, the trend display offers you the choice between a one-hour, four-hour or 24-hour view, which means you can zoom in horizontally, too. While many just want to see "a number", others of you will be happy to find that, with a touch of the screen, you can still access all of the diagnostic indicators that previously appeared at the bottom of our original GUI.
Tiger-i Monitors for Airborne Molecular Contaminants (AMCs)

You can spend a long time "looking" for AMCs when the catastrophic product performance or yield loss is discovered at your device final test stage — or you can deploy Tiger Optics' Tiger-i 2000 series analyzers to locate and to monitor these invisible defect-generators, commonly found lurking in and around equipment, personnel, wafer carriers and cleanroom bays. Targeting major contributors to acid contamination, the Tiger-i 2000 series analyzers can detect and continuously monitor HF, HCl and NH3. Others, such as CH4, CO, CO2, CH2O, HCN and H2S, are also available. Available as a singleton or bundled as a combo with attractive pricing!
